The vision of Faculty Affairs and Professional Development (FAPD) is to develop a vibrant, healthy and engaging community where everyone can thrive and advance the school’s mission and cultivate its core values.

Mission

  • Establish and sustain a culture that promotes faculty vitality and organizational learning.
  • Train, educate and empower faculty and staff leaders who can promote the development of others and craft a culture of wellness that is welcoming of all.
  • Plan, communicate and implement evidence-based faculty and leadership development activities.
  • Ensure effective and successful recruitment, appointment, orientation, retention and promotion of faculty.

If you have between three and eight years of faculty experience, a doctorate degree and an idea for a scholarly project focused on academic medicine, Indiana University School of Medicine invites you to apply for sponsorship for the Macy Faculty Scholars Program, presented by the Josiah Macy Jr. Foundation. Apply by June 1.
